Students will be trained to develop a global outlook with a keen sense of entrepreneurship, to go on and become business leaders capable of creating businesses which harnessing the resources and personnel of the local community, organizers of startups that will strive to resolve social or community issues, or community leaders who will propose and implement public services.

Course Overview

Global Business Course Entrepreneurship Course Public Management Course
Students will acquire knowledge related to company management including business administration, economics, accounting and legal studies, and develop the management and practical skills for running organizations with a global perspective to bring about change. Students will be taught the basics of startups, business succession and revitalization. They will learn a broad outlook and flexible thinking, to develop conceptual and practical capabilities for starting new businesses aimed at resolving social or regional issues. Knowledge essential for public management, such as administration organization and local government structural elements will provide students with the planning, proposal and implementation skills for combatting problems in their local communities.

Entrepreneurship Course Introduction to company management, entrepreneurship theory, social and business theory, management accounting, social business planning, consumer behavior theory, internships, seminars, graduate research, etc.
Public Management Course Introduction to company management, entrepreneurship theory, Nagano Prefecture economy and industry, regional sociology, administrative law, community design, public policy studies, internships, seminars, graduate research, etc.

Department of Food and Health Sciences30 students

Students will learn a global perspective on dietary health while acquiring specialist skills and techniques related to food and the human body with a focus on nutritional science. Classes on ethics and communication skills will help students prepare for health professions using food to help enhance the health of people and their quality of life (QOL).

Department of Child Development and Education40 students

Students will be able to develop their own thoughts on the best environment and education for raising children, and build a global outlook to acquire specialist skills and practical abilities to create new child care methods and resolve problems related to childcare and parenting. Students will become leaders of childcare and parenting education in the future.
